RATSmagazine's staff and friends held a vodka tasting party to provide readers with some drink suggestions. None of the persons involved are vodka experts, and none of which could even tell you how it was made. But there is something we do know; we know that we love having vodka tasting parties and would recommend you to have your own. 10/10 would do again.
1. THE SETTING:
The party consisted of nine willing guests who were supplied with four different types of vodka and were asked to take a shot of each. After which we would all discuss how the vodka given some criteria, and then finally compare them all and suggest the best one.
2. THE VODKAS:
- NEW AMSTERDAM-ORIGINAL (if this name sounds familiar its because they are more known for their gin)
- DEEP EDDY'S-SWEET TEA
- PINICAL— COOKIE DOUGH
- SKYY VODKA — COCONUT
3. THE TEST:
CHEERS: "To RATSmagazine"
BURN: People were half and half on this vodka; either it burned a little or it burned a lot.
TASTE: Very weak; doesn't taste like typical vodka more just like burning water.
DRINK AGAIN: Yes, its inexpensive and would probably mix well.
DEEP EDDY'S-SWEET TEA
CHEERS: "T Jess's brother" Who graciously brought it
DRINK AGAIN: 100% absolutely.
Additional Comments: "Tastes like summer in the south" and "Smells great"
PINACLE — COOKIE DOUGH
TASTE: Mixed feelings either really good or too sweet
DRINK AGAIN: Majority says: "Not ever'
COMMENTS: "Taste likes dentist fluoride"
SKYY VODKA — COCONUT
CHEERS: "Neon icon"
TASTE: Nice Flavour
DRINK AGAIN: YES!
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Good flavour", "Not too sweet", "Jays on my feet" (people were now drunk)
4. THE VERDICT:
SKYY VODKA — COCONUT is the favourite. RATSmagazine's vodka tasting party was a success and we suggest having your own alcoholic beverage tasting party and send the verdict to RATSmagazine or share the experience with us on Instagram to share your favorites. I, however, do not suggest trying to drink moonshine afterwards.
